Process Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Process Engineer to join our team at our headquarters in Bergen, Norway.
The Process Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing industrial processes within the manufacturing facility to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure product quality.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of process engineering principles and a passion for continuous improvement and innovation in industrial settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Design and Optimization:
- Develop, design, and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization.
- Analyze production data and identify areas for improvement within manufacturing operations.
- Conduct root cause analysis on production issues, troubleshooting, and developing corrective actions to minimize downtime and improve process stability.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Collect and analyze process data to monitor performance, including efficiency, product quality, and overall production metrics.
- Generate detailed reports and presentations for management, offering insights and recommendations for process improvements and efficiency gains.
Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:
- Support the manufacturing floor by troubleshooting equipment or process issues, providing technical support and solutions to the production team.
- Work closely with operations, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve technical issues promptly.
Continuous Improvement:
- Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) to reduce waste and improve operational efficiency.
- Identify and implement best practices and process controls to maintain product quality standards and ensure safe manufacturing practices.
Equipment and Technology Integration:
- Work on the integration of new equipment and technologies into existing processes.
- Evaluate the performance of equipment and suggest upgrades or replacements to optimize production capacity.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure that all processes adhere to safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Monitor and enforce safety protocols within the production environment to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with the Research and Development (R&D), Quality, Maintenance, and Operations teams to ensure that new processes and products are efficiently brought to market.
- Assist in the development and implementation of process controls, training, and documentation for operators and other relevant teams.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or certifications in process improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean) is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in process engineering or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Experience in process design, process control, and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
- Familiarity with process simulation tools and software (e.g., Visio, Minitab, AutoCAD, etc.) is a plus.
Experience:
- Experience with automation and robotics in manufacturing environments.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of production processes, lean manufacturing, and process optimization.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
