Operations Planner EMEA

We are seeking an experienced Operations Lead Planner to drive production planning across the EMEA region. In this pivotal role, you will develop and manage regional production schedules, balancing customer demand with available capacity while optimizing resources for maximum efficiency. Collaborating closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and Project Management Team, you will ensure on-time deliveries, minimize disruptions, and support continuous improvement in production performance.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain weekly and monthly production schedules based on customer orders, inventory levels, and available production capacity.
Manage and update production line calendars to ensure smooth workflows and on-time customer deliveries.
Dynamically adjust production plans in response to changes in demand, equipment downtime, or material shortages.
Analyse production capacity and collaborate with operations leadership to optimise the balance of labour, equipment, and materials.
Forecast future resource requirements using order intake, takt time, and lead time data.
Work closely with operational leaders and team leads to plan and secure adequate manpower for each shift.
Serve as the central communication point between production, supply chain and project management team.
Clearly communicate production schedules, updates, and changes to supervisors and line managers; actively participate in production meetings to resolve issues and drive alignment.
Track adherence to production plans, monitor key performance indicators (e.g., schedule attainment, plan vs. actual output, material availability, line utilisation), and maintain reports; identify and escalate variances while proposing efficiency improvements.
Serve as Production Planner in the global Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, preparing and hosting the monthly Supply Review meeting.
Education and Work Experience:
Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
At least 2–5 years of hands-on experience in production planning or operations scheduling, ideally within automotive, battery, or electronics manufacturing.
Functional Skills:
Strong proficiency with production planning tools and ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite, with the ability to analyse large datasets and create detailed production schedules.
Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, Just-in-Time (JIT) practices, and kanban systems.
Behavioural Skills:
Excellent organisational and time-management abilities, with a proven capacity to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and functions.
High attention to detail combined with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset and strong problem-solving capabilities.
